The Department of Teaching & Learning:
The North Haven Public Schools strive to provide a high-quality, comprehensive educational experience that supports each student’s academic, social, and emotional development and prepares them to be global citizens who are college, career, and life ready. Literacy is at the cornerstone of all of our work. Instruction is rigorous, student-centered, engaging, and fosters meaningful feedback and discovery.
Driving this mission forward is the Department of Teaching & Learning, which envisions, plans, and directs the district’s curriculum, assessment frameworks, and professional development. Our dedicated team of Curriculum & Instruction Specialists works side-by-side with educators, empowering them with the tools and strategies to design highly effective, supportive classroom experiences.
Achieving educational excellence requires a shared commitment. Together with families and educators, we champion high academic standards, protect educational equity, and prioritize the social-emotional well-being of every child in our community.
Rigorous Learning • Real Engagement • Total Support
