Saint John the Apostle, also known as Saint John the Evangelist or Saint John the Divine is most commonly known for his foretelling of the Messiah which in the New Testament predicted the coming of Jesus. Saint John, was one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus and traditionally believed to be the author of the three Letters of John and the Fourth Gospel. He also played a leading role in establishing the early church at Jerusalem.
