Many Americans of Welsh origin annually celebrate the life of Wales’ Patron Saint David on March 1st.
It is a time for people to remember the Welsh culture and to appreciate their Welsh origins. The Welsh flag, daffodils and leeks pinned to clothing are often seen during celebrations on this day as well.
Some people may celebrate by attending a special St. David’s Day church service while others may cook a nice meal to share with friends or family.
